Frequently Asked Questions

What is my payroll deduction amount? Do I have to pay the first month?

The cost of an annual parking permit is divided over 12 months. Payment for the current calendar month is due at time of purchase (unless purchasing the permit for the following year prior to Sept. 1). Automatic payroll deduction begins the next calendar month. Permits purchased in July or August for the current permit year (ending August 31) cannot be purchased through pre-tax payroll deduction.

If you separate from the University, take part in an unpaid leave of absence (medical or personal), or otherwise stop parking on campus, you must return your permit to Transportation & Parking Services. Until the permit is returned to Transportation & Parking Services, the permit is considered active and fees for the permit will continue to accrue. The cancellation date of a permit is effective when the permit is returned to Transportation & Parking Services. Deductions will stop in the next calendar month.
